For the 15th consecutive year, the greater St Francis area will be a hub of sporting activity over the festive season. This year we are very excited to announce that Rezco Asset Management has come on board as the headline sponsor for the series. Rezco is a local boutique asset manager that focuses on managing risk and creating wealth for their clients.
The Rezco Summer Series offers fitness enthusiasts ten different sporting events to participate in between the 19th and 31st December 2021. This annual series hosts events for runners, swimmers, cyclists, and paddlers, and is the perfect way to add some action to your holiday itinerary. The fun starts with a 5km full moon run and walk, and continues with a full events list of beach and trail cycling, duathlons, canal swims, quadrathlons, and trail running. The Rezco Summer Series will finish off on a high note with a mountain bike challenge on the 31st of December. Online entries can be done via EntryNinja (links below).The first 150 athletes who register for the full series before 5 December will get individual access to all 10 events for only R500, plus a Rezco Summer Series peak and preferential access to future events. Entries for series events close on the 17th December 2021. To enter for the series, click here. Once on the EntryNinja website, search Rezco Summer Series and you will find all the individual events. You can also follow the links in the program below to enter for individual events.
The entry fee for individual events (or as team member) is R100 for Open and Under 18’s, and R80 for under 14’s. Late entries on the day are R120 for Open and Under 18’s, and R100 for Under 14’s.
Covid-regulations at the time will be honoured, however, in order to offer safe events, we will maintain:
– online entries to reduce queuing on the day;
– capped entries, so on the day registration is not guaranteed;
– the series entry at 50% discount will get you a permanent number, which means you must only confirm your distance of choice on the day and be there in time for race briefing;
– there will be no prize giving ceremonies, full results will be announced live on social media a few hours after the race and digital certificates will be issued on request to the top 3 male and female winners in each age category (open, under 18 and under 14);
– two great prizes are up for grabs by the male and female who did the best in the most events.
Team events:
Series entrants have access to team events, just make sure each team member is individually entered for the event in order to receive a unique race number.
Race numbers can be collected before the race from the registration table.
